Best uses for RSS
Guest Author - Christopher Combs

In this article, I will talk about some of the best uses for RSS. Some of the uses for RSS are for both business and fun! Think about it, you can log or blog your daily activities or log special events for families to see or even log your available jobs for your business! There are many different and cool ways you can use RSS and it can be a very powerful tool for you and the users who view it. If it is as simple as a trip diary to posting the latest jobs, RSS can be used by anyone.

Here are some examples of RSS that can help your business:

Job Boards
News
Service Updates
New Product Notifications
ASP Site Updates!!

Fun things that you can do with RSS

Public Diary
Family Info Sharing
Share your guitar solo to your friends and family
Photo Sharing

The nice thing about RSS is that you can pretty much feed any information out using it. It has endless possibilities. Using ASP to power your feeds makes it even easier and less work for you to do. As long as you have a front end to add your information and a database to add it to, you are good to go.

In the next few weeks, I am going to supply some samples that cover each topic I mentioned above so you can see how they work and how they will be presented to the end user.

Remember, RSS is a very powerful tool and what I consider the future version of the old billboard days.

If you have any ideas for RSS and you want to see an example of it, let me know and I can help you get started!
