What's Happening in Pine Valley....

I have been out of commission for a while, dealing with a lot in my daily life and unable to squeeze in time for my daytime shows. Perhaps I should have been watching. I may have had a chance to see that my life isn't as messed up as it could be!

Babe and Josh. Wow. There's a shocker. No really, I was surprised by this. Babe has been a good friend to Josh, the only one he really has in Pine Valley. It seems normal that his feeling for her would turn sexual. But after all her talk about loving JR, and wanting to make the marriage work, I was really surprised that she would sleep with him. JR tried to kill her, and still she didn't turn to another man. If there was a time to cheat, it was then! So he was going through some stuff with his sister (who, by the way, needs to head back to her Mommy, but that is another story) and was shutting Babe out. Even the closest couples need to have their own time every now and then, need to be able to handle tragedy in their own way. I don't care much for JR or Babe, but they have already been through so much, I was really rooting for them to stay together.

Josh, though. Man, he deserves to be alone. He is rude and arrogant and selfish. He wants what he wants and doesn't care about anyone else's feelings. Yes, his mother had tried to abort him. Rather than being so angry at Dr. Madden, Josh should be grateful for him. Had Greg not stepped in, Erica would have been successful. I can understand his anger and even a certain level of hatred for Erica. I don't get why he is so angry with Jeff. My understanding (I was born in 1976, 4 years after the abortion storyline so couldn't really have watched it) is that Jeff had no idea what Erica was doing until she had done it. He should give the guy a chance, maybe not to be his father, but at least to be a friend.

It saddens me to see that Lily and Jonathan are still apart. I think theirs is one of the most touching storylines on daytime in a long time. Jonathan still claims to love his wife. If he hopes that she will ever believe that, he needs to stop turning to Amanda and show that he can handle living without the intimacy that Lily is unable to provide.

Is Emma really Kate? Personally, I think so. Should she be taken away from Annie? No. Annie has been a good Mom to her. Regardless of her state of mind, Dixie did sign away her rights to the child. If anyone should be fighting for Kate, it is Tad. I still cannot believe that he is working with Dixie and being so kind to her, after she just took his daughter away.
