Holiday Wish List '06

Holiday Wish List '06
Hello, and welcome back! We're closing in on the holiday season, and many of you are shopping, for yourself and for others. I think there's something here for every romance lover around. Have fun!

Looking for some good reads for the romance reader in your house? Try one (or two) of these....

Drop Dead Gorgeous Drop Dead Gorgeous by Linda Howard has great romantic suspense in this follow-up to To Die For To Die For. Another would-be killer is after Blair, but this time Wyatt doesn't believe her. What's a girl to do? This one's filled with trademark Howard humor and steam to go along with the suspense.

His Dark Kiss His Dark Kiss by Eve Silver is fabulous gothic romance, with Emma heading off to become governess in Anthony's home, and discovering that she might be working for a murderer. And a very handsome and irresistible one, he is. But will that attraction blind her to the danger? Fans of Victoria Holt will love this one!

Morrigan's Cross Morrigan's Cross by Nora Roberts kicks off her latest paranormal trilogy, this time with the Circle of Six set to fight a vicious foe. In the first installment, the witch Glenna and sorceror Hoyt find their way to love as they work toward preparing for the fight to come.

Dance of the Gods Dance of the Gods is the second in the series, this time with Blair and Larkin working out their differences on the next leg of their journey to fight the vampiress Lilith.

Valley of Silence Valley of Silence is the last book in the trilogy, with the soon-to-be-queen Moira and vampire Cian struggling to reach their own nearly impossible happy ending as they gather with their friends and their army to defeat Lilith. A wonderful series for the paranormal reader!

Wishes Wishes by Jude Devereaux is still one of my faves of all her work. This one will give you a great holiday romance with characters you can't forget. Nellie has gotten herself a fairy godmother of sorts, and she's about to find the love of her life with Jace, just in time for Christmas!

Maybe some holiday cheer for yourself?

Trans Siberian Orchestra is one of my very favorite bands, whether it's the holiday season or not, and Christmas Eve and Other Stories is my favorite of their albums. Fuse good old rock with traditional Christmas music and turn up the stereo!

And for something new and beautiful, Christmas Celebration has absolutely gorgeous vocals on traditional holiday music. It's one of my new favorites.

Looking or some holiday dvds?

Christmas Story is a yearly tradition in our house. Ralphie's quest for that b.b. gun is hysterical no matter how many times you've watched it.

Love Actually has plenty of romance in it, not to mention it's set into the holiday season. Keep your tissues handy.

Christmas Trilogy [CD & DVD] combines all of Trans Siberian Orchestra's work, including the amazing for-tv show they did a number of years ago. It's not exactly a romance, but it has such a happy ending, I cry everytime I watch it. I hope you have more tissues.

Want some tasty treats to celebrate your holidays, or to share with your loved ones?

You can't celebrate without a little bubbly, right? There aren't many occasions throughout the year you get to indulge in this, and I can't think of a better one this time of year than getting together with loved ones.

And to go with the bubbly stuff, you need some truly decadent chocolate.... alt="234x60 Box of Chocolates Logo A"> They have some of my favorite truffles in the world.

And then set the mood with these: Illuminations - Cranberry Orange Scented Jar Candle. Awesome scent! (And I go through a lot of candles here!)

Happy shopping, and happy holidays!
