December 25: Ski on Christmas Day! Try out that new equipment that Santa leaves under the tree at Mt. Washington Valley ski resorts including Attitash Bear Peak (open 8 am-4 pm), Bretton Woods (open 8:30 am-4 pm) and Cranmore Mountain Resort (11 am-4 pm). Jackson Ski Touring Foundation trails will be ungroomed, but skiers may use them free of charge.



December 27: SpongeBob™ and Dora™ the Explorer at Attitash - Viacom characters will be onsite to introduce The Dirty Sock Funtime Band from Jack's Big Music Show as they headline at the Attitash Grand Summit Hotel. Showtime is 7 pm- tickets are limited and can be purchased in advance at (800)223-7669.

December 27: Ullr Fest at Shawnee Peak - Join in the fun as winter is ushered in with this traditional celebration at Shawnee Peak. Explore the legends of the North with Ullr, the mythological Norse God of Snow. Evening events for the whole family include “The Beating of the Drums”, fireworks and torchlight parade. Live DJ too. December 27 – Cranapalooza at Cranmore - Cranmore’s night time festival of activities with night skiing starts on Wednesday, December 27 from 2-9 pm with a Day-Glo theme. The lineup of activities and events includes a t-shirt giveaway in the lift line, s’mores around the fire pit, hypnotist Mike Hathaway, and musical guests Dennis and Davey. C-More the Penguin will be out and about and fireworks are set to launch at 7:30 pm. Cranapalooza tickets are $19 or $15 with a same-day ticket from any other mountain. December 31 - New Year’s Celebration, Mt. Washington Valley - Usher out 2006 with a party to remember and welcome in 2007 with fireworks, bonfires and more. This New Year’s celebration, centered around Schouler Park in North Conway will include a host of chem.-free musical events, shows, clowns, plus food and more throughout the afternoon. At 7:00 pm, the annual Christmas Parade of Light takes place in North Conway followed the White Mountain Boys performing on the hour starting at 8pm along with live music at several venues in North Conway. It culminates with the lowering of the lighted 2007 time sphere at midnight, followed y a fireworks salute to the new year. For a complete schedule of events, visit www.mwvalleyevents.com.
