American Girl Store - Review

Today, my daughter, 9 month old grandson and I went to the new American Girl Store, Saint Louis. It opened several months ago, in a suburb of the city and this is the first chance I have had to visit. As soon as we drove into the parking lot of the mall it is in it was the first thing we saw. All painted a bright shade of deep pink, we couldn't miss it!

Upon entering the store my daughter immediately said "you're in heaven, aren't you?" And I was. What a lovely thing to walk into a store and be surrounded by beautiful dolls everywhere you look!

I walked all through the store just soaking up all the prettiness. The store is well laid out, with each historical doll in her own case, 4 or 5 at a time, in different period outfits. Most of the clothes are available for dolls, and girls and it was such fun to see all the detail of doll clothes in a size to really see and enjoy.

The hair salon for dolls is particularly fun to see. They style the dolls' hair right out where all can watch. Thinking of all the dolls I have had over the years that could have really used a new do made it so nice to see.

In the cafe, girls of all ages were enjoying lunch or a snack and it smelled divine.

The only thing I missed was no display of discontinued historical dolls. Since my favorite American Girl doll has always been Felicity, it would have been nice to see a case of discontinued dolls, just to look at, even if they're not available for purchase.

All in all, we had a lovely time. As we were walking back to the car we saw a family with 2 little girls, each carrying an American Girl doll, we knew just where they were going! I recommend visiting an American Girl store if you have the chance. Whether you are there to buy anything or not, the staff is friendly and the dolls are beautiful.

Make Clothes for 18 Inch Dolls The most popular dress on the Doll Making Site, The Spring Dress for 18 Inch Dolls, is included as well as 5 other outfits, underwear, and accessories such as jewelry, a bag, a knitted hat and scarf, and the new scrub suit. There are also patterns for slender Magic Attic type dolls as well as full-bodied American Girl dolls and an antique Saucy Walker doll from the 1950's.
If you love 18 inch dolls, and want a collection of patterns for a wardrobe, all in one handy Ebook, this is for you! All these patterns are available on the Doll Making site, but I have brought them all together in one book for ease of finding and using them.
