Dealing with Toxic People

Dealing with Toxic People
If you are experiencing toxic people in your life, let me share with you what I have learned. Be comforted because you are not alone. Everyone walking the earth knows at least one toxic person. Some people know many. This is something we all deal with in life. Together we are helping one another to find peace and feel better.

Remember that you have the power to stop a toxic person. You are in control of your mind, body and life. You make good decisions. You hold your power. You can do anything you would like to do. You can walk away from a toxic person and not allow their negativity. Breathe and let go. Embrace freedom and appreciate it for all the beautiful things it is.

Realize that toxic people drain health, peace of mind, energy and well-being. It helps to move away from toxic people and move towards people who are positive and uplifting. Positive people are a blessing. Move close to what feels good and away from what feels bad. This is one of the most healing things you can do for yourself.

Understand there are many good people in the world. You know if someone is good or bad for you, by how you feel when you are with this person. Your intuition always tells you everything you need to know about someone. Listen to your intuition and trust it.

There are also toxic people in the world. A toxic person emits a negative vibration that your mind, body and spirit will feel. A toxic person causes pain and aggravation. A toxic person is simple to recognize. When you are interacting with a toxic person you will feel sick and experience physical symptoms like a headache or stomach pain.

When you are interacting with a toxic person it is normal to feel like you are going crazy. This is not true. Those feelings are just your mind and body trying to let you know that you are with a toxic person. Remembering this information will empower you to identify a toxic person and release one from your life.

Understand that when a person is toxic it is because of his or her own issues. Toxic behavior is caused by unhealthy thinking and mental illness. A toxic persons behavior is not about you. The behavior of another person is a reflection of what is going on inside of him or her. A toxic person is unhappy and unhealthy on the inside.

If you feel comfortable you can try to talk to someone. It is healthy to talk about what is on your mind and how you are feeling. It is healthy to listen. Talking assists with feeling better. But if this is not improving the situation, sometimes the best thing to do is walk away and not allow a toxic person to hurt you anymore.

If you cannot walk away, then begin by mentally walking away. You are strong. Do what is important to you. Be kind to yourself. Do things that make you feel good. Allow yourself to detach. Detachment is a process of not caring. It is something you do for yourself. It is a mental skill that takes some time to learn at first, but once it is mastered, it can help you to become stronger mentally and physically.

Detachment is a necessary skill for preserving your mental health. Detaching from people and situations that are not good for you is healthy and can help you to feel better. Detaching is a way of letting go. Let others walk their path while you walk a peaceful path for your own life.

Begin letting go by repeating affirmations. Affirmations are positive statements you repeat in your mind. Affirmations are powerful because over time, your mind believes the good you program into it. The following are some examples to help you, but feel free to make your own that speak to you personally.

* I am letting go.
* Letting go will help me to feel better on many levels.
* I control my life and decisions.
* I am healthy.
* I am strong.
* I feel good about the decision to let go.
* Letting go is healthy.
* Letting go brings peace.

When dealing with a toxic person remember that exercise is your friend. Exercise releases negativity and tension. Exercise creates healing chemicals in your mind and body. Exercise also encourages the release of endorphins, chemicals that relieve pain and help you to feel good both mentally and physically. Practicing affirmations in your mind, while you are doing something positive for yourself like exercising can be very helpful to you.

It is also important for you to develop positive friendships. Be a friend. Take care of your friendships. Be loving, caring and supportive to the friends in your life. Be open to receiving love, care and support. Friends that love you give the best advice. All you have to do is listen Friendship is healing, and it is the best medicine for you especially when you are dealing with a toxic person. Talking things over with a friend will make you feel stronger, and will assist you with releasing the negativity of a toxic person. Breathe and release.
