When a teenaged Colby came to Pine Valley, trouble was bound to follow. She had been deprived of her father for years and she craved his attention. She was willing to do anything to get it—including stealing a car to get to Adam. On her first night in town—in addition to being arrested for grand theft auto—Colby stumbled upon Dr. Madden’s body. Shortly after her arrival in Pine Valley, she blackmailed her brother, slept with Sean, allowed everyone to believe Josh had taken advantage of her, made life miserable fro Krystal and Babe, and allowed her family to believe she had drowned.

In other words, she lived up to the Chandler name.

Colby arrived with very few redeeming qualities. She was a spoiled, selfish, snotty rich kid. Basically she was all the things Liza took her away from Pine valley to avoid.

Her year in Pine Valley has caused Colby to grow up. They say that childbirth changes a person. That sure seems to be true here. Helping deliver Baby Jenny allowed Colby to face her fears. She learned just how strong she is. She already was growing closer to Krystal. Jenny’s birth just created a bond between the two that will be hard to break.

Her relationship with Sean has also matured. At first, Colby wanted him only because Sydney wanted him. She couldn’t allow a nobody, an ordinary maid, to have something she didn’t have. Slowly she and Sean have formed a friendship much like the one her mother has enjoyed with Tad over the years. They can count on each other for anything.

Slowly, their feelings for each other have deepened. Colby was hurt by Sean’s re cent fling with Ava, and until her saw her pain, Sean didn’t realize just how much he cared for Miss Chandler. She realized the depth of his feelings when he pled guilty to drug charges to keep the charges from touching her.
While attempting to surprise Sean with a beach picnic, Colby stumbled upon him providing comfort to Ava. Heartbroken, she returned to her car, refusing to speak to Sean.

Will her young heart survive this? Let’s hope so. After all, she is the only Chandler who still possesses a heart.
