Beef Fillets in Wine

k 7 to 9 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Remove from skillet, set aside and keep warm.
3. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in skillet over medium-high heat; add shallot, garlic and mushrooms; sauté until tender.
4. Stir in 1/2 cup wine and cook over medium-high heat 5 minutes or until wine is reduced by half. Add remaining butter, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper, stirring until butter melts.
5. Serve steaks with mushroom-wine sauce.
