Touch Me

Guest Author - Elizabeth Darrach

Hello, and welcome back! We're getting nicer weather this week, and since it's a holiday week, I have three days off in a row! That means tomorrow is garden day, and then Thursday is for reading and writing as much as I can. And next week's weather looks even better. It feels like fall might finally be coming, and I can hardly wait. In the meantime, I have two new erotic romances to share with you today.

Touch Me (Aphrodisia) by Susan Lyons is up first. This time out is Ann Montgomery's turn. She's been super-stressed by work and the man there she was interested in--until she found out he's still married. Her best buds suggest a massage and just the place to go for it. Adonis Stefanakis is the best looking massage therapist she's ever seen, gorgeous enough to inspire months of fantasies. And he's just as attracted to her, as he proves during their very first session together, which also ends their professional association and begins a very personal one instead. Their biggest conflict is that he goes away for months during the winter, and she's as driven as her mother wanted her to be. But in between, they can have all the hot sex either one can stand. They do, of course, this being published by Aphrodisia, and along the way, emotions get tangled up in the mix, but from the beginning, Adonis is far more invested in this than Ann, so we don't really doubt his choices. I liked this one far better than the earlier story by this author that I read. It had a better story, though, as I mentioned earlier, there really isn't all that much conflict, though there is some notable character growth. This one's earned three of Cupid's five arrows.

Sex With a Stranger (Brava) by Katherine Garbera is next. Jane Monte may be in Vegas on business, but she's hoping to get in a little personal time to shake her good girl status. And she meets the perfect man for that when there's a fire in the hotel and he rescues her. Liam O'Roarke is supposed to be investigating the recent fires, not to pick up pretty women, but he's going to make an exception for Jane, especially after he sees her in that sexy negligee. This one has no real conflict between the characters, and you'll know immediately who the villain is, so there aren't any surprises there either. Who can blame Jane for being interested, when Liam is so sexy and sweet? But that's not enough to carry a story like this, and a lot of readers will be disappointed as I was by the time the ending comes. Frankly, by then, I was wondering whether the bad guy could possibly be redeemed for the future. This one gets only two arrows, I'm afraid. It's not a keeper.

Until next time, happy reading!
