The Germ Guardian

This review is for the Germ Guardian 1000 UV-C model. I purchased this item after reading about it on Amazon.com, while I was searching for research on air purifiers.

Im always hoping for new developments in air purifiers that utilize new technology. I came across the ad for the Germ Guardian and I decided to give it a try. At the time, I did not feel hopeful that such a small device would clean a decent amount of air or even clean the air at all but I was wrong.

I felt it could be helpful to others for me to post this review, and that is my only reason for writing it. Keep in mind Bellaonline.com receives no compensation for product reviews.

Ok, that being said, let me tell you what I found. First of all, for a small plug in device, the germ guardian circulates a large portion of air through the UV light area, and germs are killed. You can smell fresh clean air immediately. The fact that the UV kills many kinds of bacteria, the cold and flu virus, and serious bacteria such as anthrax, I find this impressive and it really works well. I also like the calming blue light on the device.

Initially I did not have hope this small device would do anything good. I assumed I would be sending it back, but I was wrong. Personally, I don't use the product all the time. I like to use it occasionally to kill germs in my home. In the eight months time I used the product on and off, I found that my family and I experienced less colds and virus' in the home.

I also found the product is excellent to use when one family member is sick, and you fear all everyone else in the house will get sick also. The Germ Guardian works well to prevent the spread of germs from one person to another, and this aspect I really like a lot.

The cost of this germ killing device was fifty dollars. I think that is expensive, but I feel it is definitely a small amount well spent to prevent illness in the home.
