Bingory

Guest Author - Lynn Little

Ages 3 and up

Players 2 to 4

Playing Time 10 minutes

Bingory is from Blue Orange Games who are known for their very well made wooden games. Bingory is an all wooden game, even the packing is a wooden crate. Bingory is a twist on the standard concentration game.

To play Bingory, place all the wooden tiles face down on the table. Then each player chooses a bingo card. Each card has four items on it. The youngest player goes first and turns over two tiles. If they are a match, then she looks for the item on her bingo card. If it is on her card, then she places both tiles on top of the card. She then gets to turn two more tiles over. If the cards are a match but she doesn't have the item on her bingo card, then it is the next player's turn. The first player to find all four of their items wins the game.

Bingory is simple enough to play with even the youngest member of the household. It is fast so that is good for kids with a short attention span. We have played Bingory several times at our house. Each game has been enjoyed by our pre-school girl. Bingory holds her attention. The games do not last for very long, so she also does not get bored waiting for her turn.

An all wooden game will stand up to the test of time and hours of play. It is nice to know that such products are still made today. Bingory gives memory a twist since finding a match isn't enough. You are looking for matches to objects on your playing card. Bingory can be a fun game for kids and the adults in their lives. It is one of those games that can be played at a very young age. There is no reading involved. Each game takes just a few minutes to play. The wooden crate also makes this an attractive game to display on any board game shelf.
