The following characters should make these proposed resolutions in 2008:


Ava Peralta should quit following in her mother’s footsteps.

Ava is truly her mother’s daughter. When Ava first appeared in Springfield, she had an innocent nature. She started dating Coop, but eventually left him for Alan Michael. That’s when everything started going south. Alan Michael was suave and charismatic, and Ava just couldn’t resist. Shortly after that, she learned that Olivia was her mother. All of a sudden, her behavior made complete sense. When Ava found out she was Olivia’s long lost daughter, it gave her an excuse to be conniving and manipulative. Ava is sleeping with Bill Lewis II, but she still pines for Coop. If that isn’t Olivia-esque behavior, I don’t know what is.

Holden & Lily should just get back together already.

Wow, what a rollercoaster these two have endured. When Lily’s sister, Rose, died, she became very detached from her husband, Holden. Holden later had an affair with Julia and eventually went back to Lily. Now Lily is having an affair with Dusty, and Holden is dating Bonnie? This seems so silly, like the writers are just passing time with these two characters until their reunion. Bonnie seems scatterbrained and unsure of her career and personal life. Holden is rigid and old-fashioned. I don’t see him and Bonnie as a match. Dusty is doing what he always does, being a woman’s night in shining armor. First Lucy, then Jennifer and Emily, and now Lily. When Lily returns to her senses and regains her confidence, Dusty will lose interest in her.

Stephanie needs a new man.

Eric and Stephanie have been playing this back and forth ping-pong game since the beginning of time. Let’s see a new, handsome man sweep Stephanie off her feet. No offense to Eric - he is attractive - but he has always preferred the Logan women to his own wife. Massimo was never my cup of tea, either. I’d rather see a fresh face come to town. I picture someone who encompasses Alan Spaulding’s slyness and Victor Newman’s charm.
