Spanish Dictations - A Useful exercise

Dictation is one of the best ways to improve your Spanish orthography, grammar, listening and vocabulary. It is not easy, and you may feel sometimes disappointed but, as I always say, all you need is practice, practice, and practice!

That's why I'm preparing sound files you can download so you can listen to them and try to exercise your Spanish skills. Sound files are classified in three main categories: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. I'll be repeating every sentence (or half a sentence) twice, and after this, the complete dictation.

You can directly listen to each dictation sound file (.mp3) by clicking on its corresponding icon but, if you prefer, you can also download it so you can listen to any fragment as many times as you need using the tools in your sound player. You can also download the corresponding .pdf file with the transcription.

All levels include a free transcription file you can download. These files correspond to dictactions number 1 for every level. Just click on "Download transcription" and you will be taken to www.scribd.com, where you'll find the option to download the free file in three different formats: .pdf, .doc or .txt. In case you want to buy any other transcuription, all you need is a Paypal account. If you don't have a paypal account, you can sign up here: www.paypal.com.

To go to the Spanish Dictations page, click here: Spanish Dictations Main Page.

And remember: Punctuation is important. Spanish accents are important.
Enjoy... and learn!
