Guest Author - Elizabeth Darrach

Hello, and welcome back! The soup pots have been getting a workout here, and I'm already deciding what new soup recipe to try next. Good thing my guys all like soup in the winter.

This time out, I have a couple books by a BellaOnline Romance Novels friend, J. M. Jeffries. The two ladies who write under this name are fabulous women, and I always look forward to seeing what they have available.

First up is Suite Seduction (Noire Passion), with Chicago native Renata Novak going on a little spree as soon as her divorce is final: a little shopping will improve most women's moods, and new lingerie is a must. But she doesn't just find sexy new undergarments in the hotel lingerie shop, but a gorgeous new Englishman, Damien De Winter to help her through her first night as a newly-single woman. One night is all they plan on. But Damien looks her up next time he's in town, only to discover that she's pregnant with his baby, and no way is Damien going to let her raise his child alone, not after the way his father treated his own children. But Renata has no plans to get married again after her ex's fling (and the way his mistress informed her of the demise of her marriage), so she turns him down. They compromise: he can be part of the baby's life. But Damien isn't going to give up on getting Renata for his own as well, and he's willing to involve her close-knit family in his plotting. Renata is made of strong stuff, though born to wise-crack, and you know she'll fall, eventually. This is a very quick read, with Renata and Damien's tangled relationship front and center, and the supporting cast of her family keeping a reader entertained. It's earned four of Cupid's five arrows.

Virgin Seductress (Kimani) is next, with good-girl Nell Evans suddenly discovering she's an heiress, and all her long-held dreams can come true. But before she heads off to New York City from her small hometown, she needs to learn about sex, and she knows just the man to teach her: Riley Martin, who's been her friend since childhood. He's also been secretly lusting after her for years, and her request to relieve her of her virginity rocks his world. Of course, it also means any chance he had of winning her over permanently are gone, since she's planning her escape. Riley has realized too late that he wants her to stay, and Nell has been waiting most of her life to get out of their small town, to go to NYC and to college. Now that her grandmother's gone and Nell's got some money, nothing will keep her there, not even sexy Riley. There are some quirky secondary characters here, as well as the likable Nell and Riley, and the story will reel you in. This one's earned three and a half arrows. It's a lot of fun.

Until next time, happy reading!
