CBS Daytime Emmy Nomination Picks-Part II
Outstanding Lead Actress

Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan)
Bold & the Beautiful

Brooke is the character I love to hate. I received more member feedback concerning Brooke Logan, than any other character. People have varying opinions about her. Bold & the Beautiful has had questionable storylines involving Brooke: Brooke lied for years about the paternity of Rick and Bridgette, stating that Ridge was the Father. It was later revealed Eric is indeed their Father. Brooke & her daughter are in love with the same man, Nick. That didn’t raise many eyebrows, because Brooke had an affair with Bridgette’s first husband, Deacon. If that wasn’t enough, Brooke conceived a child with Deacon. This past year, Brooke has pushed the boundaries farther than ever before. Flip-flopping back and forth between Ridge & Nick, she has taken ambivalence to new levels.

Outstanding Lead Actor

Scott Bryce (Craig Montgomery)
As the World Turns

Craig was in town for a short while, but it was long enough to cause major damage. Craig got his ultimate wish and won Meg Snyder’s heart (you might say), but under false pretenses. Meg has always been in love with Paul. When Craig learned the baby Meg was carrying was indeed Paul’s, he devised a plan for her to miscarry. Twisted as Craig may be, he did come to his senses and tried to stop Meg from taking the deadly drug. Craig finally decided to call it quits, gave Meg a divorce and left town. Yet something tells me we haven’t seen the last of him.

Outstanding Drama Series

The Young & the Restless
There a several reasons I would love to see Y&R receive the award. The storylines for the past year are unforgettable:

- ClearSprings collapse.
- Drucilla Winter’s death (or her supposed death, at least).
- Nikki Newman’s independence from the all-knowing Victor Newman.
- Jill Abbott found her real son, Cane Ashby.
- Paul Williams reunited with his daughter, Heather Stevens.

The Young and the Restless wins, hands down. 2007 was a great year, full of new additions and crazy scenarios.

The Daytime Emmy Nominations will be announced April 30th on The View.
