Not Quite Famous: Tony Packo's in Toledo

I just got back from a gig in Gibralter, Michigan. Did 3 school shows for the 6,7,8 grades. Used the high school auditorium. It was big and new and nice. Huge stage.
I performed The Magic of Science, a well-received program showing how magicians use science to fool us.
Middle school kids can be tough, but these kids were great! They really got into the program and the show went over without a hitch. My sponsor was very pleased with the program and expects to have me back.
Times are getting tough, and if you want to make a living performimg, you have got to do a good show and get the repeat bookings.

On the way home we stopped at the world famous Tony Packo's. Toledo's best hotdogs. On M*A*S*H, Corporal Klinger often talked about Tony Packo's hotdogs.
Real nice restaurant, great food. I had the hotdog and a cabbage roll, Karen had Chicken Paprikash with Hungarian dumplings. It was all terrific. (Yep, we tasted each other's.)

They have hotdog buns in frames all over the restaurant with celebrity signatures from folks who have eaten there. Tony Randall, Wayne Newton, Michael Dukakis, Bob Dole, Walter Mondale, "Sharon, Lois & Bram," Carrot Top, Penn & Teller, Alice Cooper, Burt Reynolds, Eva Gabor, Barack Osama, Sawyer Brown, several professional sports coaches, all the M*A*S*H gang, and many many more.

They said I wasn't famous enough to have my signature displayed on a bun (yet!).

Just the same, I have no hard feelings. The food is great, the restaurant is clean and the staff is super. I'm going back and I hope to see you there.
