Emily has done questionable things in her past: stealing her sister's boyfriend, trying to kill Dusty Donovan, seducing Tom Hughes, and most chilling of all – being self righteous and judgmental of her sister Allison.
What I have seen in the past few weeks exceeded all of Emily’s previous shenanigans. Emily hired Casey Hughes to be her assistant at the Intruder, and then went beyond their normal working relationship as Supervisor and employee.
Emily gave Casey motherly advice, telling him not to listen to Margo, his own mother, and just live life as he sees fit. She took him out to dinner and exploited his impressionable nature. Despite what history has taught her, it seems that she is now willing to change the friendship and progress outside of a working relationship. I wonder what Margo will think about this!
I never suspected Ameerah had something to hide, until one of our members mentioned Ameerah in the forums. Her comment made me think. It is a little sudden for her to show up out of the blue without Noah having prior knowledge of who Ameerah is. The interesting part is her involvement with Colonel Mayer. At first, she claimed that Colonel Mayer helped her during a time of family crisis. She indicated Colonel Mayer was a trusted friend and if it weren’t for him, she wouldn't be alive. Noah and Luke immediately wanted to help her, along with the rest of the Snyder family. (The Snyder dynamic is amazing to me; they don't turn anyone away.)
After Ameerah spoke to Colonel Mayer, I found their relationship disturbing. Colonel Mayer talked to Ameerah as if she is his kept woman. Did he send Ameerah to make Noah "straight"? When Noah finds out the truth and annuls the marriage, will Ameerah really be in danger?
I hope to see Meg and Mike unite. Katie is not a possibility; she is committed to Brad. Paul has lost his mind; sleeping with Sophie, and backtracking by telling Meg it was nothing. If Mike and Meg get together, it would be a chance for a fresh start.
