Coffee Editor Celebrates One Year

Guest Author - Gayle E. Santana

It’s hard to believe that it’s been one year since I first started writing for BellaOnline. A friend let me know that BellaOnline was looking for writers. I was surprised to find the subject of coffee open. In my mind I thought, “Who wouldn’t want to write about coffee?”

Over the year, I’ve tried to cover everything you’ve wanted to know about coffee and then some--from the ground to the cup and beyond.

Here are some of the highlights:

Coffee Basics:

Weren’t Born Yesterday? Neither Was Your Coffee

Finding Your Favorite Coffee Roast

Grinding Coffee Beans

Home Roasting Coffee Beans

Coffee Cupping

Coffee Whiteners

Coffee Paraphernalia:

Coffee Maker Review-The Hamilton Beach Coffee Maker Michael Graves Design

Mommy-What’s a Saucer?

Coffee Reviews:

Cool Brew

Coffee Review-Maxwell House Hazelnut

Responsible Coffee:

Film and Funding on Behalf of the Coffee Workers

Real Men Cook Charity Does Responsible Coffee Too

McDonald’s McCafe’s Go Green

Coffee News:

The good: Coffee Back on Top in New Study

The not so good: Coffee and the Miscarriage Connection

Zen Moments:

The Coffee Hour

Coffee and Tai Chi

Coffee Resolutions

Change Your Coffee-Change Your Life

Coffee Recipes:

Original Specialty Drink Recipes with Cool Brew

Cooking with Coffee-Interview with Francine Segan

I have enjoyed being able to combine my two loves, coffee and writing, and to take a line from Dr. Suess, “Oh, the places you will go.”

Royal Caribbean Adventure on the High Seas

Coffee and Tea Festival 2008

Great Places for Coffee in New York City

I hope to expand my horizons and go to the places where coffee is grown.

My fondest wish for the coming year is to hear from you, the readers, about what you would like to know. Just click on my photo and write away. I would love to hear from you.

Thank you for a great year.

P.S. There will be a great party going on in the forum and you are invited. Come and celebrate and be sure to bring your best coffee drink or dish. See you there!
