healthy love Most of us search our whole lives for true love. Some of us are lucky enough to find our true love early in life. Some of us late bloomers find love later in life. Some people let love slip away and live a life of regret. And others remain in relationships that are unhealthy. All the while, life is continuously teaching us about love. If you are like most people you have dated, and even married a special someone for better or worse. You may be emotionally happy and content with your relationship, or extremely unhappy and discontent. Either way it helps to understand that feelings, love and people are always changing. This is actually a good thing. Circumstances in a relationship, may not be the same as they once were. And just because a situation is one way at this moment, doesn’t mean it cannot get better and improve. Along the road of your life it’s important to always check in with yourself and figure out what you need to be healthy. So often it is easy for most of us to keep moving along with the pace of life, that we never take a serious look at a very important thing - the love relationships we are in. Since the love relationships we have in our lives impact our health, it is good to frequently ask yourself what is a healthy kind of love and do i have this in my life? This question brings to mind the complexity of love itself. There are many types of love that we can feel for others in our lives. The real question though, is that in these relationships, is the love healthy or unhealthy? It is my belief that you intuitively know whether the love you have is healthy or unhealthy. If you are out of touch with with what you need on an inner level, as many of us are from time to time, then asking yourself simple questions can help you determine if the love in your life is good for you. The simplest question to ask yourself is how do you feel? Does this relationship help you to feel good? If the answer is yes, then you are on the right track. If the answer is no, then you may need to do some work to heal your life. Since all of us are only human, capable of mistake, its natural that we would sometimes need to reaffirm in our minds what love really is. In relationships, it is so easy to get entrenched with infatuation, feeling in love, compatibility, lust, etc. It is so easy to get sidetracked from the real thing. Remember that healthy true love helps you to feel good. True love is a life affirming love. This kind of love comes from a place of connection, caring, healthy communication and nurturing of a relationship with another human being. True love is a mature kind of love, that develops when we appreciate and treasure another person for all the things they are, and in turn we can strongly feel that the same kind of appreciation is being reciprocated. To have this kind of love in ones life, is truly a blessing. Healthy love heals the body, mind and soul. It is powerful and transforming. It is worth searching for and holding onto. You will know when you have this kind of love in your life, because you will feel wonderful. Healthy love improves health and well being in so many ways. It is essential to create this kind of love in your life. You can do this by being open to love, by being loveable, and by mentally visualizing the type of love you wish for. Believe that you deserve true love and do not settle for anything less than the real thing. These simple steps can help you to magnetize healthy love into your life. | Related Articles | Previous Features | Site MapContent copyright © 2008 by danielle barone. All rights reserved.
