Product Review: New Magic Book

I discovered Magical Illusions, Conjuring Tricks, Amazing Puzzles And Stunning Stunts by Nicholas Einhorn at my local library.

It is a large 256 page hardback book with over over 200 brilliant illusions, tricks, puzzles and stunts, including close-up magic, stage magic, optical illusions, party tricks, and much more. Full color glossy pages with lots of pictures make for an easy read.

This is a great beginner's magic book with a lot of the standard tricks magicians start out with. It is also a great book for the experienced magician. I found several effects I will use.

In addition to such standards of magic as card and coin tricks, the book has several mental effects and some very practical and easily made illusions.

The book is divided into seven sections - Close-up Magic, Party Tricks, Optical Illusions, Stunts and Puzzles, Stand-up Magic, Stage Illusions, and Putting on a Show. In addition too the great magic, the book is filled with the history of magic and information about famous magicians.

The author, Nicholas Einhorn is a popular British magician. He has written several books, performed around the world and created several magic tricks. He has worked as a movie consultant and even designed effects for David Copperfield. Einhorn is an accomplished magician and an excellent writer and teacher.

A great book, I recommend it to anyone with an interest in magic, young or old, beginner or pro. And if you want to save a few dollars, be sure to check your local library system first.

I have found many great magic books at the local library. The local library system has Mark Wilson's course on magic, Tony Hassini's magic videos and much more.

I've said it before and I will say it again. The smart magician will check out his local library and the inter-library lending system before plunking down his hard earned cash for magic books, marketing programs and videos.

And, if you just need a little help and direction to get your career going, be sure to check out www.mymagicrabbit.com for some great marketing programs for magicians and unusual Gospel magic tricks, too.
