Then You Hide

Hello, and welcome back! Have I mentioned lately how much I hate the summer weather we get here in the northeast? I'm very much looking forward to fall and cooler temps. In the meantime, I'm staying cool indoors and winding down the July romances, providing there aren't any late arrivals, that is, and just about to start reading August books, like the latest time travel from newbie Gwyn Cready and Eve Silver's new historical, even the latest from fave Susan Meier. However, I do still have a few July romances to read and share with you, plus a few already waiting to be shared with you.

This time out, I have the latest from Roxanne St. Claire, Then You Hide (Pocket Star), the new addition to her Bullet Catchers series. This time out, Wade Cordell is sent off to an island in the Caribbean to track down a woman whose dying birth mother wants to meet her. Vanessa Porter is trying to track down someone as well, a missing friend and co-worker, and she's not at all interested in meeting the other woman, not after what she's been told about her adoption. But it turns out her friend is hiding from someone dangerous, and now, in hunting for him, Vanessa has put herself in danger's path as well. And Wade is hard to shake on such a small island, so she agrees to go with him if he helps her find her buddy. Should be easy enough, right? Not likely. Plus, Wade is a little bit of a distraction for Vanessa, as she is for him, making their hunt that much trickier than if no one's emotions were involved. I know this is a popular series, but I haven't gotten the appeal, and I still don't. So I'll say this: fans of the series should rush out and grab this one right away, because I have no doubt you'll enjoy it immensely and want to add it to your collection. You'll get to see other Bullet Catchers at work, some from past books and some who haven't yet gotten their stories told. The series just isn't my cup of tea.

Until next time, happy reading!
