Character History:
Christian Miller spent most of his early childhood in an orphanage, running away at the age of seven. Christian had a very rough childhood, and as a result he made a new name for himself. He changed his name to Victor Newman.

Victor arrives in Genoa City to help a businesswoman, Katherine Chancellor, run Chancellor Industries. He proves to be a shrewd businessman and goes on to form his own company, Newman Enterprises. Newman Enterprises is a worldwide conglomerate with an estimated worth of $50 billion.

Victor meets the love of his life, an exotic dancer named Nicole “Nikki” Reed. After Victor and Nikki marry, Nikki quits her job to stay home and take care of their children, Victoria and Nicholas. Victor is of an earlier, old-fashioned generation, and is very pleased with the idea of Nikki staying home to raise their children. After the children grow older, Nikki desires to become a respected businesswoman, but Victor is adamantly against this.. Both Nikki and Victor have each been married several times, and had numerous affairs, but through it all they still care for each other.

Victor’s children, Victoria and Nicholas, follow in their father’s footsteps and each have been, at one time or another, co-CEOs of the family company, Newman Enterprises. Victoria now works with her mother, Nikki, for a major rival of Newman Enterprises, Jabot Cosmetics. Nicholas is part-owner of Restless Style Magazine.

Recently, Victor informed Adam Wilson that he is his father. Hope becomes ill with cancer, however, and subsequently dies. Hope’s dying wish is for Victor and Adam to become closer and to get to know each other as father and son. After an initial reluctance to do so on both parts, Adam and Victor now maintain an amicable relationship.

Victor is currently married to Victoria’s best friend, Sabrina Costelana. Their May-December romance has sparked many negative reactions, including from Victor’s children, ex-wife, and close friends. Victor, who is a grandfather, is about to become a father once again.
