CBS Soaps Comings & Goings Comings Lowell Baldwin (Michael Gross) The Young & the Restless This has been a long time coming. For years, Michael has wanted to know who his father was. When Michael first joined the cast of Y&R, he was a villain; he was manipulative and terrorized Christina Blair. Michael made many enemies, including Paul Williams. When his mother, Gloria, came into the picture, he resented her presence and had not forgiven her for his troubled childhood. Gloria and Michael eventually came to terms and are now civil towards one another. Michael questioned Gloria over the last few months about his father. Now, with his father in the picture, Michael may get the closure he needs. Noah Newman (Kevin Schmidt) The Young & the Restless Time sure flies in daytime television. Noah left for summer camp as a preteen and is returning as a young adult. This is mind-boggling considering that his parents are fairly young. Nevertheless, that’s how it is in daytime television. Even though I am not in favor of the rapid age progression, this opens a whole new world of possibilities. Since Noah was always a smart-mouthed kid, how will he be as a young adult? Now that he is of age, will he and Phyllis get along? Will he resent Jack for his manipulative ways? Most importantly, will he take interest in a young lady? Dusty Donovan (Grayson McCouch) As the World Turns Dusty is alive! I missed this character and glad to see him back. Now, I am curious as to how they will introduce him back into the fold. This will make for interesting television since Emily is having a torrid affair with Casey. Dusty, being self-righteous, will have words for Emily. Did Dusty fake his own death to be with his son Johnny, and will he return to Oakdale with him and Lucy? What will Lily do? Goings Mike Kasnoff (John Prescott) As the World Turns Mike had a short-lived visit to Oakdale. When Mike first arrived, I thought it was inevitable that he would reunite with Katie. Since Katie is committed to Brad, Mike set his sights on Meg. Mike has a tendency to be involved with women who are involved with sleazy men. For awhile, it seemed that Meg and Mike were becoming close friends. But, Paul wormed his way into Meg’s good graces for another time. Mike will leave Oakdale at the end of August. There are so many comings and goings, but I saved the best for last: James Stenbeck is returning to Oakdale! | Related Articles | Previous Features | Site Map
