Next on History Vs. Hollywood, Kingdom of Heaven
In History Vs. Hollywood, Kingdom of Heaven on May 6, Experts take a look at the latest epic Kingdom of Heaven, complete with inside information.
I am sure that these like any other part of Anglo/Saxon history are one sided to a point. In our house we look at the release of the movie Kingdom of Heaven differently. I want to see it to see if it shows a true view on what really happened during the Crusades, my guy for the epicness of the movie and the battles. I think the only way he will see it with me is if I am gaged. You laugh I know but I hate it when we only tell one side of the story.
That story has so many facets, yes Jerusalem was the start of Christianity, but before that it was the center of Hebrew faith and after Christ it was the start of Islam. So, I guess my question is who if anybody has a right to Jerusalem? If so many people hold it sacred then why, must blood be spilt on it to process it?
If you are a history nut, you may just well enjoy these looks into the crusades. Also, I have found the Catholic site on them and a couple of educational sites to explore. You will find these on the upper right corner of the screen.
