For Her Eyes Only

For Her Eyes Only
Hello, and welcome back! It's been a hectic week at work, but I've still found some reading time. I'm about six books into the October releases already, and looking forward to digging further into this big stack on my desk.

To kick off the new month's reviews, I have the latest from Cait London, For Her Eyes Only (Avon). The final Aisling triplet Leona knows that whoever's been trying to harm her sisters will probably come after her next, and, while she's not interested in using or strengthening her psychic gifts, she won't wait around meekly. She knows the man has already been inside her shop once, and, despite her determination not to be like her mother, she knows there is still danger to her and her family. Owen Shaw also gets her attention when he comes into her store, but in a completely different way. Owen has come for a gift for his sister, who's got gifts of her own, gifts which reveal that some of Leona's secrets to her. Leona doesn't want a relationship any more than she wants her psychic abilities, but she and Owen generate quite a lot of heat every time they're together. And Owen's background suggests that he might be the protector for her, as her sisters have found in their men. But the man who's after the Aislings is more powerful than they realize, able to manipulate people so that Leona and Owen are even more vulnerable to him and his twisted plans. This pair will have to work together, and Leona will finally have to use her inherited sills to save herself and those she loves. This one is hot! Owen and Leona have some serious chemistry, and, along with the chance to revisit Leona's family, the tension in this makes for a compelling read. While I was sorry to see the last of the Aislings, this is one of those books I devoured in a day, because I was eager to find out how they worked out their troubles. I've enjoyed Cait London's books for years, as evidenced by the collection of them here in my book room, and this trilogy is a definite keeper. I'm borrowing four of Cupid's five arrows for this one. And waiting to see what Ms. London comes up with next.

Until next time, happy reading!
