The first style is great - It is very layered but longer on top and short and blunt at the neckline. Chunky texturizing and the use of lots of hair wax or hair creme give it the textured appearance.
The second is Meg's long look. The front layers are cut at just below cheek bone length and give a softer look. Lots of texturizing around the perimeter gets away from the heavy look of thick hair.
The third style is similar to the first but longer in the neckline. Allowing the hair to wave and curl slightly gives a softer and more feminine look.
