Best & Worst Storylines of 2008

Best & Worst Storylines of 2008
It’s that time of year, where we reflect and discuss what storylines where great this year, and which ones were mediocre. Here are my thoughts:

Best storyline - 2008

Sabrina & David's death, Victor's disappearance.

The Young and the Restless never disappoints. Sabrina's death was so sudden, and her strained relationship with Victoria wasn’t resolved until the very end. Victor fell in love with Sabrina wholeheartedly, and was under scrutiny from the public and his family. Nikki did not have such a romantic love affair. Her relationship with David was complicated from the beginning. David, at first, was Nikki’s adversary as Jack's Campaign Manager for Senate, and later became Nikki's Campaign Manager, alongside Karen. David, who never misses an opportunity, helped Nikki through a difficult time, due to of Victor’s resistance to her senate run. Nikki’s marriage was falling apart, and David gladly played hero. Because David hid many secrets and lies, it ended up costing his life, as well as Sabrina’s. Walter Palin, a contract killer, is ultimately responsible for David and Sabrina's death. Now that Victor is out of hiding, I wonder if he really killed Walter Palin. The Moustache never lets anyone harm his family, and get away with it.

Worst Storyline-2008

Cane/Lily/Chloe Triangle

Please, please, please end this tragedy! Is Chloe really carrying Billy Abbott's baby? Is Cane really the Father? Why is Lily so trusting? All of it makes me crazy. I think back to the way Chloe wormed her way into Lily’s life. Even though Chloe claims to be a worldly fashionista, she has not accepted her humble background. Chloe craves attention, no matter what the cost. Now, she has ripped Lily and Cane's marriage apart, claiming that the baby was conceived out of passion. I hope 2009 brings out the truth, so Lily may finally get her happily ever after.

Most Anticipated Storyline 2008-

Holden & Lily reuniting

Holden and Lily have survived countless affairs, and meddling in-laws. With Lily acceptance of Holden's affair with Carly, it seems they are on the right track. Even Lucinda has come around to accept her daughter's marriage after years of trying to break them apart. The next obstacle I see these two facing is Brian, Lucinda’s husband. His advances toward Luke will surface, and when it does I see tension in the family. If Lucinda does not take her grandson's side, Lily & Lucinda's relationship will suffer. And like a domino effect, when they are on the outs, it affects Lily and Holden.

Honorable Mention-

Most Surprising Storyline- 2008 - Gus & Harley's abrupt departure

Least Anticipated Storyline 2008-Neil & Karen's engagement

Most Predictable Storyline- Kay's death/undeath
