Lucy Montgomery

Lucy returns with Johnny. This is fitting, since Craig is back in town, and Paul's about to be committed. Does this mean Craig might get his happily ever after? Things couldn’t be better for Craig: Meg is available, and his children are coming home. There is only one hiccup I see for Craig; Lucy & Dusty reuniting.

Maddie Coleman

Henry adores is little sister, and ever since her departure, Henry hasn’t had much airtime. The love fest between Henry and Vienna is wearing thin, and Henry's incessant nature to come to Katie’s rescue is sickening. Maddie added substance. Also, its time Casey got his act together, and Maddie was the levelheaded part of the relationship. Casey starting a relationship with Ally seems like disaster waiting.

Damien Grimaldi

The last I saw of Damien, he disapproved of his son's lifestyle. Damien was very upset with the way Lily and Holden gave Luke reassurance when he came out. Damien has a militant approach to parenting. He feels Holden is too soft on Luke, and should be more aggressive in his parenting. Another thing I find odd about Damien: he has not had a love interest in quite awhile. Perhaps his return will spark a female’s interest. I just hope it’s not Carly!

Jade Taylor

Although I like Jade as a character, Jade reminds me of Will & Gwen, I would love to see them return. Will and Gwen do not need to feel threatened now that Hallie’s natural mother is not a threat. Right before her departure, Jade indicated she was a changed woman: vowing that her evil days are behind her. Let’s see what the new Jade brings.

Phillip Spaulding

This has to be the most anticipated return for a CBS Soaps character. I am excited to see what Phillip will bring to Springfield. Over the last few years, Guiding Light has been lackluster a best, and Phillips return leads to all sorts of questions: will the role of Harley be recast? Will Phillip fight for custody of his son?
