A change in the look of your bangs (or fringe) is a quick way to update and refresh your hairstyle. Try these changes when wearing your hair in an updo or in any style.
![]() | The bangs in this style are combed or brushed very smooth and sleek. Add a touch of hair creme or other pomade to add shine and to keep down fly-away ends. Then tuck them firmly behind your ear. Use a curling iron to put a curl on the ends to help them stay 'hooked' behind your ear. Spray with firm hold hairspray. |
![]() | If your bangs aren't long enough to stay behind your ear, secure them with a small decorative barrette. |
![]() | ![]() | Even if your bangs are short, you have a choice of how to wear them. Swoop them down and to the side for a dramatic look. Use a round brush, rolling them down to dry them and brush them to the side. To 'open up' your face and make your eyes appear larger, brush your bangs up and over to the side. Use your round brush in reverse and to the side to get this look. When your bangs are the way you want them, spray with firm hold hairspray. TIP: Use the hairspray only at the base - next to your scalp - to hold them in place without the 'hairsprayed' look. |
![]() | ![]() | If your bangs are very long (or if you don't have any) take a section from the front and pull it across your forehead, wrapping the ends around the band of your ponytail or pin it underneath the curls of your updo. If your bangs are short and you want fullness, curl them with a curling iron, add some back-combing and fluff them into a fun spikey look. |
