I’m Claudia Cuellar, your new Gay Lesbian News editor. I have been involved with the LGBT community for several years now and have seen it evolve drastically in a short period of time. Though there is much progress, there is also a lot of change that is snowballing in to action in the queer community.
As you all may know, the LGBT/queer community is very much like a tree with so many of us being part of one or more branches. We are all so different in this community and our diversity makes our community unique.
This newsletter will bring to you a diverse view on various topics in the queer community. While there may be an article on a current news topic one day, there may be a book review or health based article a few days later. The articles and topics will vary on the many issues and interests of the community.
One of the most important parts of this site is you, the reader! Please keep in mind that you are more than welcome to send in topics you are interested in reading about. Send in criticism, praise, questions and suggestions. They are all warmly welcomed!
Writing an e-mail to the editor is easy. Simply click on the “Contact” button to the right of your page and send in your thoughts and suggestions. While I will read every single note, I cannot promise to write on every topic suggested but I will take them in to serious consideration.
Signing up for the newsletter will keep you up to date on what is new on BellaOnline’s Gay Lesbian News site. This includes all new articles, discussions on our forum and any new interesting news bits of interest. This will never include any newsletters you have not signed up for, advertisements or spam!
If you are interested in signing up for the GLBT Newsletter, type in your e-mail address on the box to right. You will see two buttons, one for the forum and one for contacting the editor. Underneath these is the box for signing up for the free newsletter.
Once you have signed up for the newsletter, you should receive a test newsletter. If you happen not to, please check your spam folder in your e-mail. If you find the test newsletter there, make sure to unblock the incoming newsletter’s e-mail address. If you continue to have any issues, please do contact me for help.
