I’m Barbara Sharpe, and I’m the new Editor for the Gay and Lesbian site. For more than 20 years now, I’ve been an out, femme lesbian. I’ve seen the world change drastically with regard to LGBT civil rights, so I have a lot of hope for the future. I came out in The Reagan Years and, despite him, we’ve made a lot of progress.

There are as many ways to be gay as there are LGBT people. I couldn’t possibly have firsthand knowledge of all of them. Every so often, I will post an article about upcoming topics or topics that I am exploring. If you would be willing to be interviewed, please email me. You can either be anonymous or use your name. If you are a business owner and I quote you, I will also be sure to use your company’s name.

What do you want to read about? What would be helpful to you? What simply interests you? I can’t promise to take every single suggestion, but I will where I can. You can send me an email by clicking the contact button to the right of your screen.
