When you make your living as a media personality and professional daredevil, a lot of people tend to question your motives. Steven Glover, better known as Steve-O to the fans of his television show "Jack*ss," has made a career out of doing and saying questionable things, and getting a lot of tattoos in the process. Having now gotten treatment for drinking and drug abuse that landed him in enforced psychiatric lock-down, he's decided some of his tattoos might be best redesigned, and he's asking his fans for their help.

Best-known for the massive tattoo portrait of himself that covers his own back, Steve-O has a tattoo collection of mixed subject matter and quality. His own web site has a photo gallery of over two dozen images bearing the title "Dumb Tattoos." There you can see his imitations of several tattoos worn by Angelina Jolie, a large pot leaf, a depiction of a male genitalia, a pair of four-letter words tattooed across his knuckles, a "mud flap girl" rendered as a many-hundred-pound figure and one of those Christian-style fish outlines but with the word "Satan" inside of it. These are exactly the sort of tattoos your mother prays you're not going to get when you start to get tattooed.

In his blog on March 5th, Steve-O posted the following invitation to his fans:

I’ve decided that it is time to alter some tattoos, starting with the pot leaf on my wrist and the dribbling d*ck on my arm. I want to make sure that whatever I change them into is really rad, though, so I am officially asking for your help. Please get to doodling and submit to us your tattoo designs to cover up these f***ing things.

If you think you've got some art skills and want to genuinely give this contest a go, you've got until Thursday, March 19th to submit an entry. So far, the entries have ranged from serious and not-bad coverup designs to artwork that takes the contest as one of his further stunts. You can see the competition and rate entries for yourself by visiting the blog. Three winners will be picked by Steve-O himself by Monday March 23rd and will get a t-shirt and eternal bragging rights.
