Watch Over Me

Watch Over Me
Hello, and welcome back! With the rainy weather we had most of last week, and now the sticky, warm weather we're having this week, I'm getting plenty of reading time in. Good thing, since I started out with an absolutely enormous stack of June romance releases! I've put a fair dent in the stack already, so I have more than a few ready to share with you all, including the latest from Lucy Monroe.

Watch Over Me (Brava) is out now, with the smoldering Mykola Chernichenko taking on a new assignment: watch out for scientist Lana Ericson. She is the sexiest scientist he's ever met, and he's determined to get a whole lot closer to her while they're thrown together. The assignment may not last forever, but why not enjoy their time together? And enjoy it, they do. Lana's work has cost her dearly in the past, and she's not all that keen to be under such close scrutiny now, even though it is for her protection, and even if it is by such a yummy, leather-pants-wearing bad boy as Mykola. He persuades her, however, that his protection is her best bet for surviving the truly bad guys who're not just after her, but others as well. And hey, if you've got a seriously hot bodyguard, why not enjoy, right? There is never any doubt that Myk is going to do his job keeping Lana safe, nor is there ever a doubt that they're going to get their happily ever after, and sometimes, that's really all a reader wants. Well, that and some seriously hot and sexy scenes with a hero as amazing as Mykola Chernichenko. Monroe's romances are always terrific, with characters who're both believable and awesome. Her heroes are strong, alpha-types, but with a great understanding of their emotional needs and just the right way to win their heroines. Myk is no different, and he's a definite keeper. I'm borrowing four and a half of Cupid's five arrows for this one. Myk deserves a re-read or two. Or three.

Until next time, happy reading!
