Upromise - Earn Money for your Child's Education

Guest Author - Maria Brown

I simply love rewards programs where I earn money back on my purchases. Upromise.com is a great way to get back some of those hard earned dollars that we spend. UPromise is primarily set up so that you can earn money back on select purchases and you can then use that money towards your child's education. The great thing about UPromise is that if you don't have children or if you don't need money for your child's schooling, you can "cash out" the money and UPromise will send you a check.

How It Works

Visit the Upromise site and create an account. When you create your account you will be able to link all of your existing store loyalty cards to your Upromise account. You can also link your credit and debit cards to the account so that all of your qualifying purchases can be tracked.

The Pros

In addition to all of your purchases, your family and friends can link their credit and debit cards as well. This is great because the whole family can help save for your children's education.

Also Upromise has coupons that you can load onto your store loyalty cards. When you use the cards the coupons are redeemed through UPromise and the manufacturer will give you an extra monetary bonus that is deposited directly to your UPromise account.

If you are saving for your children's education and you have more than one child, you can choose how to split the earnings between your children.

The Cons

Upromise only works in conjunction with participating stores. Although there are numerous participants, you may not have a participating store close to you.

You have to earn a minimum of $25 before you can "cash out" and request a check to be sent to you.

Upromise might not be for you if you are weary about entering your credit and debit card information online. Although you can earn rewards by using your store loyalty cards and coupons, you can earn significantly more by attaching your credit and debit cards as well as by shopping from other stores online.

All in all, if you are interested in making money back on your purchases, Upromise is a great site to check out.

You can sign up for UPromise on their website.
