Losing baby weight is hard when you don't have time to exercise. Exercising is tough when you have a new baby. Getting 5 minutes of peace to do anything is tough when you have a new baby. This cool Lullaby Exercises set from Chicks-n-Chickens is perfect for helping you get the new mom workout you need while helping to lull your baby to sleep. Best of all, it helps you bond with your baby while you are rocking them to sleep. When baby dozes off, you can sneak off for a few minutes of mommy time to do whatever you want or need to do.
The set comes with two discs. The first disc is a DVD workout, so you can see the moves while you workout. I use my laptop on top of a dresser to watch the DVD near where I want to put my little one down to sleep. The low-impact workout is great for new moms and moms with bigger babies. The bigger your baby, the more of a workout you get. Use a sling or baby carrier to hold your baby close to you while you sway, stretch and move to the gentle music. (Check with your doctor before you start any exercise program and wait until you have a doctor's ok to exercise after childbirth.)
The second disc is a music CD containing all of the original songs from the DVD. I like to put this disc on in the living room to help soothe my little girl to sleep so I can put her in her playpen near where I am going to be doing housework or anything else I don't want "help" with.
All of the songs on both discs are original and very sweet. The soft lullabies are very catchy and you will likely find yourself singing them at other times of the day.
Losing baby fat and getting back in shape is much easier when you have a little help from your friends. I love that you can use this set to get in shape while putting your baby to sleep. That is true mom multitasking - now you don't need to use baby's nap time for exercise so you can relax with a book or take a nap yourself.
