Hello, and welcome back! I'm about to get my weather wish with cooler temperatures here, and I don't even care that it's coming with rain. I just want the miserable, sticky heat to be gone. Then I might be able to take my reading outside for a change. I haven't been able to do much of that this summer, which is kind of disappointing. In any case, my summer reading has pretty much come to an end, as I'm into the September romances now.
But I do still have a few August romances to share with you, like Pamela Palmer's Obsession Untamed, the second of her Feral Warriors series. This time out, Tighe's on the hunt for a clone that has half his soul. If he can't find it, his life may end soon. FBI agent Delaney Randall has never had anything weird happen to her before. Right now, she's determined to catch the maniac who's murdering women in her neck of the woods. And she's somehow connected to the killer, because she can see the murders as he's committing them. When Tighe shows up, her life turns completely upside down and inside out. He looks just like the man in her visions, but somehow, he's not that man, and she seems to have lost total control over her hormones when he's around. Tighe has the same problem, and he thinks it is a problem, because Delaney is human, which makes her off limits to him. But he needs Delaney to help him catch the clone before it's too late. Not to mention his own, more personal need for her. This is another scorcher, with scenes fit to burn your fingers on the pages, as Tighe and Delaney's mutual attraction flares hot and hotter. Then there's the suspense as they hunt for that clone bent on wreaking complete havoc on the world. Palmer has continued her series as she began it, with compelling storytelling, a sexy hero, and a terrifically satisfying romance. I'm giving this one four and a half of Cupid's five arrows, and am looking forward to many years of reading pleasure from this author.
Until next time, happy reading!
