Hello, and welcome back! I've been working hard, at work and here at home, though I will say my work here is sometimes more fun and always involves more reading. Wow, now wouldn't that be a fabulous job in a bookstore, where you got to actually read all the books you wanted while you were working? Too bad that can't happen.

While I'm very near the end of my October romance reviews, I do still have a few to share with you, like the latest historical from Deborah MacGillivray, One Snowy
Knight (Zebra). The widowed Lady Skena MacIain can't leave the injured knight lying in the snowstorm, but she knows she can't encourage her young sons' belief that their Christmas wish for a knight to care for them has come true with this man they've discovered. True, she also can't help noticing that the unconscious knight is a lovely specimen of man. After all, she's widowed, not dead, and her late husband was never as excellent to look at as this one. Sir Noel de Servian had plans that sent him into the Highlands in the midst of winter, but now that he's safely ensconced in Lady Skena's home, he'd like little more than to stay there. Except he keeps a secret that will change any kind feelings she might have developed for him while she's tended to his wounds and nursed him back to full health. At least, that's what he thinks. Noel is a rogue of the first order, charming Skena from the very first, even when she believes she doesn't want to be charmed. And her children are determined that he's meant to be their Christmas wish come true. These two share some scorching heat between them, and while Skena might try to resist, it's clear she doesn't really want to resist. And after her heart gets involved as well, there's really no resisting Noel. Readers won't be able to resist him either, and will fall easily in love with this knight set on protecting his lady and all those she cares about. Skena is a great heroine, strong and determined, and a perfect match for Noel. This one gets four of Cupid's five arrows.
