Top Fantasy Players: Running Backs and Wide Receivers
Guest Author - Kori Ellis

Let's take a look at the best fantasy football players for 2007 by position.

Running Backs

LaDainian Tomlinson, San Diego Chargers
Though you can't expect LaDainian top his phenomenal 2006 numbers, he should be the number one pick in every fantasy league. 2006 (Rushing): 1815 yards, 28 touchdowns

Steve Jackson, St. Louis Rams
You can't miss be choosing Jackson, who looks to get 2,500 combined yards in 2007. 2006 (Rushing): 1528 yards, 13 touchdowns

Larry Johnson, Kansas City Chiefs
With no passing offense in Kansas City, Johnson will get the ball early and often. 2006 (Rushing): 1789 yards, 17 touchdowns

Frank Gore, San Francisco 49ers
After establishing himself as one of the top running backs in the league in 2006, Gore will continue to improve if he stays healthy. 2006 (Rushing): 1695 yards, 8 touchdowns

Shaun Alexander, Seattle Seahawks
Though Alexander missed considerable time with injury last season, he is still one of the best running backs in the NFL. 2006 (Rushing): 896 yards, 7 touchdowns

Other top options: Joseph Addai (Colts), Reggie Bush (Saints), Maurice Jones-Drew (Jaguars), Willie Parker (Steelers), Brian Westbrook (Eagles)

Wide Receivers

Steve Smith, Carolina Panthers
With a new offensive coordinator at the helm, look for Steve Smith to get more looks in 2007. 2006 (Receiving): 1166 yards, 8 touchdowns

Terrell Owens, Dallas Cowboys
T.O. dealt with an injured finger all last year, resulting in a high number of dropped passes. 2006 (Receiving): 1180 yards, 13 touchdowns

Chad Johnson, Cincinnati Bengals
After a frustrating up-and-down season in 2006, Johnson looks to find his consistency again this season. 2006 (Receiving): 1369 yards, 7 touchdowns

Torry Holt, St. Louis Rams
In one of the most high-powered offenses in the NFL, Holt will continue to be Marc Bulger's #1 target. 2006 (Receiving): 1188 yards, 10 touchdowns

Marvin Harrison, Indianapolis Colts
Look for another big season from Peyton Manning's favorite receiver in Indy's high-octane offense. 2006 (Receiving): 1366 yards, 12 touchdowns

Other top options: Marques Coltson (Saints), Larry Fitzgerald (Cardinals), Randy Moss (Patriots), Reggie Wayne (Colts), Roy Williams (Lions)

Next week we will take a look at the top 10 quarterbacks.
