Make Over for a Style Emergency

Have you ever wished for a new image? We may wish for it but finding the right look and then achieving it is often difficult. This young woman, I'll call her Liz, wanted that new image and got her wish recently while home on college break. Going off to college impressed upon her the need for a more sophisticated and stylish look for her new life. She went to Elegant Styles Salon in Fort Wayne, IN to get her transformation.

Creating a new image begins with taking a look at the whole picture and accessing the possibilities. Obviously, Liz has a beautiful smile and lots of natural beauty. Salon owner, Michela Glad wanted to achieve an image for Liz that would not only enhance her best features but would also be easy for Liz to recreate when back at school.

Liz's hair was previously highlighted with an acceptable blonde shade however it was very common among high school and college age girls. To give Liz her own style, Michela chose to individualize her hair color and to bring out the warmth in her complexion by adding both light blonde and light strawberry blonde shades. She chose a foiling technique to create fine highlights and a subtle blending of color. The preparation was then processed by a Steam Machine, something that speeds up hair color while leaving hair in excellent condition.

After the processing time was completed, (about eight minutes), and the color mixture was shampooed off, Michela took the opportunity to update Liz's makeup.

A total look includes makeup and is very important when achieving a pulled together new image.

Next came the expert hair cut to insure that the shape of the style is flattering and easy to care for. Styling is explained as Michela works so that Liz is confident that she will be able to do it herself.

Have you been thinking of a change for the new year? As you can see, Liz's finished makeover is great success and she is obviously pleased. Go for it, your make over can make for and exciting and successful day.
