Hot Mama Ink Tattoo Art Slings Review

Hot Mama Ink Tattoo Art Slings Review
What’s a hot mama to do? You know you want to raise your baby the attachment parenting way – but pink flowers and cute bunnies would blow your cool big time! Now there is a new option for moms and dads who want to do the sling thing in style. Hot Mama Ink is a brand new company with a truly unique line of slings, nursing wear and other necessities.

All of their products come in basic colors like black and white. Coolest of all, they each have a brightly colored design created by a tattoo artist. These are slings even Dad will wear with pride. You already know a sling can make being a parent so much more rewarding and easier on you and your baby. Now you can wear your baby and still express your style.

Now, tattoos are not my thing, I really am more into toile and fun colors. My first reaction was “You’ve got to be kidding me!” Then I thought about it and realized that these products make attachment parenting appealing for a whole new group of parents. Hot Mama Ink clothes and slings are the first really unique products I have seen in baby wearing in a long time. Best of all, they are well made and comfortable for you and your baby.

Hot Mama Ink is a brand new California based company founded by two moms who realized that no one was making the slings and nursing gear they were looking for. In addition to slings you’ll find nursing tops and pants meant to fit real nursing moms (not twigs!). Their nursing tank has a built in shelf bra and one handed clasp for easy nursing. Yoga pants, capris and tees are all available in their sometimes provocative designs. Popular designs include a breastfeeding pin-up girl, the fierce love winged heart, and a sexy geisha mother.

I tested out the Fierce Love baby sling. It is one of the lightest slings I have seen at just 6.5 ounces for the small size. Made of black broadcloth it features a hidden zippered pocket big enough for keys and a small wallet. They keep this sling light by making a slightly narrower shoulder that widens into a deep pocket to hold baby securely. The design is printed into the fabric so it will stand up to a lot of washing. Sizes run a bit small, so be sure to plan accordingly.

All the fun of a tattoo, without the needle!
