Quilting

Hello all, it's good to be here to say hello. I’ve just come in from the garden. My darling is trying to encourage a jasmine climber to cover a rather ugly fence. So there am I in the garden, there is he up a ladder (which is on a slope) with wire in one hand, trying to hang on for dear life and neither of us with the strength to do what needs to be done. I’m holding the ladder, he’s up the ladder (and terrified of heights) and I think to myself – “what would I do if the ladder starts slide?”

All I could see in my mind’s eye is an advertisement warning the dangers of doing things with ladders once you are of an “age”. I get the giggles, he starts to laugh, I start to laugh, we both get hysterical and that really makes us incapable of doing anything!

Dear me, we used to be able to do such things so very easily and didn’t think anything of climbing ladders or trees or fences. We survived this time, but I think the only bit of exercise we should do in future is exercise our index finger and ring a handy man!!

I posted some photos on my blog celebrating our Sisters of Stitch fourth birthday. Here’s the link:

Last week I posted a book review. The book is titled “City Blocks” and is full of wonderfully modern quilts. Here’s the review here: http://www.bellaonline.com/articles/art180720.asp

There’s a discussion going on the forum about the wonders of the computers for quilters. Pop over and have your say: http://forums.bellaonline.com/ubbthreads.php?ubb=postlist&Board=43
