Tatting

Here is a lovely all ring pattern which is just perfect to tat on a wonderful fall day. The pattern is by Emmy Liebert and the model has been interpreted by Stephanie Wilson of the Online Tatting Class.

Squares are:

Inner R1: 6 --- 6 (there will be 3 rings joined into the picot) RW
[NOTE: On pattern repeats, R1 will be: 6 + (to large picot on first inner ring) 6. ] small bare thread space

Outer rings:
R2: 3 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 4 RW
JR3: (half-closed Josephine ring): 8 FIRST half stitch, close, but only halfway (the pattern calls this a 'half chain or semi-circle' - should resemble a small chain) RW
R4: 2 + (to last p on last 'regular' ring) 4 - 2 - 2 - 2 - 4 - 2 RW
JR5: (half-closed Josephine ring): 8 FIRST half stitch, close, but only halfway, as before RW
R6: 4 + (to last p on last 'regular' ring) 2 - 2 - 3 - 3
Bare thread space to match the one after the first (inner) ring

Repeat inner ring (all inner rings join into the large picot on the first R1), then outer rings 3 more times, including bare thread spaces, until you have a square.
