Anne Williams founded Dallas Black Dance Theatre in 1976 and is a founding member of the Dallas Dance Council, The International Association of Blacks in Dance and The Dallas Morning News Dance Festival. Dr. Williams received her early training under Barbara Hollis, a member of the Katherine Dunham Dance Company, Edith James, Donīs Humphrey and Charles Weidman.
