Here are some of the military museums you can visit in New England.

The Massachusetts National Guard Museum has a rich collection of National Guard history including an extensive Civil War archive. Military Museum of Southern New England [offsite link] Located in Danbury, Connecticut. The Museum, started in 1985, is a not for profit organization originally intended to preserve the history of Tank Destroyer history, specifically the 643rd TD Battalion, but has since expanded to include 20th and 21st Century Military and Home Side history. United States Naval Shipbuilding Museum [offsite link] Located in historic Quincy, Massachusetts. The USNSM is home to the USS Salem, the worldīs only preserved Heavy Cruiser. We are located in the former Quincy Fore River Shipyard, once one of the Nationīs largest Shipbuilding Enterprises. USS Constitution [offsite link] The official website for the USS Constitution located in the Charlestown Navy Shipyard, Massachusetts. USS Constitution Museum [offsite link] The USS Constitution Museum brings to life the stories of the individuals who authorized, built, served on and preserved USS Constitution. The Museum is located adjacent to USS Constitution, in Building 22, Boston National Historical Park, Charlestown Navy Yard, Boston, Massachusetts. USS Saratoga Museum [offsite link] T Air, Land & Sea Heritage and Technology Park is a celebration of Rhode Islandīs naval heritage and technological future. Our proposal is to locate the Park -- featuring the former USS Saratoga (CV-60) as its centerpiece -- at the former Quonset Point Naval Air Station, North Kingstown, RI.
