Cross Stitch

Over the past 20 years, Cross Stitch has become the most favoured form of embroidery.

A Stitch and a Prayer star[offsite link]
A site with beautiful samplers with family and christian themes

Assisi Embroidery star
Assisi embroidery is also known as voided work or reserva, and is one of the monochromatic family of embroidery techniques. If you can do cross stitch, you can do Assisi!

Cross Stitch - the Stitch that became a Technique star
Cross Stitch has, since the 1960’s, become an embroidery phenomenon. But there is more to it than many people think.

Cross Stitch by Judy L star[offsite link]
This is a gallery by a very talented lady – cross stitch of some great TV shoes (Angel, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Bab. 5, etc.). The piccys are great – and emerge gradually so that you can “watch” the piece sew itself.

Designs by Carol Leather star[offsite link]
Carol has some beautiful designs in cross stitch, blackwork, hardnager and needlepoint. She also has some great on-line classes.

Dragon Dreams star[offsite link]
Dragon Dreams is the site of the cross-stitch designer Jennifer Aikman-Smith. Her little dragons are absolutely beautiful – a must for dragon enthusiasts (like me!)

Enchanting Lair star[offsite link]
This has some of the most stunning fantasy cross stitch designs you will see. Dragons, Elves, Fairies and more will spring from your needle and thread and enchant you with their magic.

Erik Christian star[offsite link]
These are definately designs that are not the norm! If you want to take your cross stitch to a different direction, and stitch some truly unusual designs, then this is the designer for you. Take the plunge!

Gerry Buckley Cross-Stitch Design star[offsite link]
Another great Aussie designer for you all to discover! Take a step into his website and indulge yourself.

Stewart Merrett Designs star[offsite link]
Stewart is an Australian designer who works with rich fabrics and incorporates beautiful needlepoint and cross stitch into his designs. He also has some lovely applique work and amazing sweatshirts.

Vintage Bliss Designs star[offsite link]
Cross stitch and embroidery designs with a "vintage" feel.
