"Mastering Tatting" by Lindsay Rogers is a hardback book with inner coil binding. It is 7.5" x 9.5", 111 pages in color. Published 2013 by GMC Pubs., UK. This book would make excellent reference book for any tatter.

Dagmar Pezzuto shares a challenging two color cluny petal necklace. This pattern uses rings, split rings, bead in the center of rings, cluny tatting, and two color cluny petals. Here is a great opportunity to experiment with both color and beads.

You do not have to start exactly where the directions say. Remember that older patterns told us often to cut and tie when it was completely unnecessary. Tatters today try to modernize patterns by starting with a starter picot, or using a mock picot to climb out into a split ring/chain.

Linda Reiff has modernized this vintage DMC Tatting pattern. Located on pg. 26, it is the Edging Fig. 12 in Two Color Tatting. This is an excellent two color for beginning tatters. It will also introduce them to floating rings and RODS.
