Basic Slow Cooker Millet takes less than 5 minutes hands-on time, so it’s easy. Although it can be cooked on the stovetop in 35-40 minutes, someone has to be near the stove to stir occasionally. When done in the slow cooker, it takes about 2 hours, but can be done while no one’s home. The easiest way is to cook it in a programmable slow cooker, but a timer works well too, and both will start the cooking when it’s convenient. Inexpensive timers are available at most discount stores.
Even the busiest cooks can serve this delicious grain for breakfast, since it takes almost no time to prepare. Why not tomorrow morning?
