Luke Potter Review
Luke’s melodic and catchy songs are relatable within the younger generation that makes up the majority of his current fan base. His fresh, understated and boyish good looks and charm makes him particularly appealing to teen girls, and he has recently been given the title of “heartthrob” amongst his adoring fans. His debut radio single, “We’re Alive,” hit top 30 airplay in Boston and San Francisco and reached over 500,000 views on YouTube, proving he could build a loyal and engaging online fan-base – a crucial aspect of today’s music industry. To date, Luke has performed over 100 gigs around the UK and performed a well-received showcase gig to US DJs in Atlantic City in August 2012 – and I’m sure this is just the beginning.
Luke Potter made his US debut album release with an exclusive three-track EP titled “One Day,” on January 14, 2013. Produced by noted producer Bleu, “One Day” aims to gain the attention of pop music fans that are looking for a more emotional connection, and an artist that delivers honest, heartfelt songs. “One Day” is also the lead song and title track off the EP and it combines his natural leanings and influences for pop and rock music. The song describes “starting over,” coming to terms and learning from mistakes, and it is the perfect coming-of-age and inspiring song for the success that’s to come from this debut EP. Along with the eclectic mix of songs, “Breathe In” showcases Luke’s talent as a promising songwriter and the finishes off with an upbeat ending. The track “Chance Worth Taking” introduces you to Luke’s more mature and personal side – with its sentimental lyrics it is sure to capture the attention of his young listeners and adoring fans.
Luke Potter has also released a few performance videos that provide an intimate look into his songs and musical personality as he serenades and mesmerizes viewers with his acoustic performances.
