If you’re considering renting a vacation property this year, it’s important to research your options and ask questions in advance. Policies vary widely and can be confusing.

1. Learn what’s open in your destination. Many states, national parks and localities are re-opening gradually after the COVID-19 pandemic closings earlier this year. Do your research in advance to learn if there are any self-quarantine requirements and plan accordingly. While your destination of choice may offer a wide variety of attractions, it's important to check to see which ones will be open during your travel dates and what restrictions will be in place.
