Men In Black

Men In Black
James Edwards, a street-smart cop, is recruited to join a mysterious agency that tracks down and investigates extra terrestrial activity. Leaving his old life, and identity behind, the new Agent Jay teams with veteran Agent Kay to track down a destructive alien “bug” before he gets his hands on an elusive energy source known as the “Galaxy”. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “Men in Black”.

· Rosenberg closes the door to his “Rosenberg Fine Jewelry” store and is locking it. The reflection in the window shows the “Zap ‘Em” truck driven by Edgar drive by. It cuts to a view of the street and the “Zap ‘Em” tuck is just coming down the street and pulls in front of the store

· Kay and Jay are in Zed’s office on a teleconference call. Kay’s right leg is crossed over his left with his left hand on his right ankle. Zed mentions the “red letter from last night” and the wider view shows Kay’s legs are uncrossed with both feet on the floor with his left hand on his left thigh. It cuts back to the front view of Kay and Jay when Zed tells Kay to keep his ears open. Kay’s right leg is crossed over his left one again.

· Kay and Jay arrive at the morgue. Laurel shows them the first body and Kay tells them to “check out the other body”. The scene switches to a view of Jay and Lauren walking toward Rosenberg’s body. The first body can be seen in the background behind them but there’s no Kay.

· Orion, the cat, pokes his head out of the pet carrier at the restaurant. A view of the “belt” he’s wearing shows his name is in capital letters, ORION. When Orion is shown at the morgue, Lauren reads the name on the belt and it’s shown in lower case letters, Orion.

“Men in Black” (1997) stars Will Smith, Tommy Lee Jones, Linda Fiorentino, Vincent D’Onofrio, Rip Torn, Tony Shalhoub, and Siobhan Fallon Hogan. It runs 98 minutes and is rated PG-13 for language and sci-fi violence.
