Letter To Mom

Letter To Mom
What would you write to your mom on her day? That even though you didn't know how to parent you did the best you could. That anything is possible if you just believe. That raising a daughter was not easy and yet you did it. Or that some of the best times were spontaneous moments. Come with me as we stroll down feel good moments for mom's and mother figures. This will be an unusual article because it's basically made up of things you would say if you wrote it in a note.

Thanks for setting boundaries for me. Thanks for doing a good job even when you didn't think you were. Thanks for caring. Thank you for being involved in my daily routine. For giving me opportunities!

It could not have been easy but you made it. Thanks for the unconditional love. For letting me - be me. Thanks for letting me make mistakes, take risks, disagree and change my mind.

Life is grand. Looking back it seems like yesterday when you held me in your arms. Thanks for being my mom. Thanks for being the best you could be. Thanks for having faith in me even when I didn't.

You are the epic mother and daughter. I realize that no matter how old you get you will always be a daughter. I'm glad that I share a title that is universal for all moms. I'm glad that I had the grandest daughter. I'm glad I have you as my mom.

What do you say to mom on her day? You would write down all the fond memories. You would tell her that she did well. You would also let her know that you could not have made it this far had it not been for her. And for the new moms it's okay to learn as you go. You are the epic daughter raising the epic daughter. Moms will love you any way she can get you and everything you do is a good thing.

Mothers are wonderful people. They are in a category all by themselves. Cherish the moment and live in the now. Write a letter to your mom and tell her why she's the epic daughter and mom.

If your mom is no longer with you, still jot down a note of update to her telling her the accomplishments you've
made as a result of being her daughter. Tell her that she is missed and you still represent her well. Feel better about your loss - it's okay to miss her. But understand that you are who you are as a result of who she was and you are showing it. We call this a very special letter. Put the letter away and repeat each year. This helps you with seeing your accomplishments each year. Which then the focus is not just on your loss but your accomplishments! And, this particular tip can be for anyone, which I call a bonus. So this is a salute to the Epic Daughter-you! And a special note to the ones that didn't have such a bright childhood. You are who you are because of what you didn't have, salute yourself.
